Ahmad Bracey serves as the Manager of Learning School and Youth Communities Programming at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago (MCA), where he leads initiatives that bridge contemporary art with educational experiences for young learners. Born and raised in Chicago's historic Bronzeville community, Bracey brings a deep understanding of the city's cultural landscape to his work.

After graduating from Chicago State University in 2010 with a B.A. in interdisciplinary studies with a concentration in Bioethics, Bracey's academic research focused on examining healthcare accessibility within African American communities. This unique combination of scientific methodology and philosophical inquiry continues to inform his approach to arts education and community engagement.

In his role at the MCA's learning department, Bracey oversees a comprehensive suite of educational programs designed to connect students, educators, and families with contemporary art. His work emphasizes creating inclusive learning environments that encourage creative expression and critical thinking. As an instructor with Early Exposures, he shares his passion for photography with young artists, teaching them both technical skills and artistic vision.

Throughout his career, Bracey has established himself as a keen documentarian of Chicago's diverse urban landscape. His photographic work and written essays capture the evolving character of the city, with particular attention to urban farming initiatives that address food security, the sustainable transportation movement through the lens of pedicab culture, and the preservation of Chicago's architectural heritage through landmark restoration projects. His documentation provides valuable insights into the intersection of community development, sustainability, and cultural preservation in urban spaces.
